YOGA~TALK

I have recently completed a phone course with Swami Nirmalananda Saraswati entitled 'Teaching Sutras #1'. I passed the course (yay!) and am specially trained to facilitate Yoga Philosophy Discussion Groups.  My plan is to take the other two "Teaching Sutra" courses next or the following year and I am taking Meditation Teacher Training in February 2012. 
Once I complete MTT 2014, I'll be serving our community as a certified Svaroopa® Yoga meditation teach...

This morning's Guru Gita Chant

This morning's Guru Gita chant was especially lovely. Usually, on the Guru's Day, Thursday, I partake in the Shishya Guru Gita Call. I get to my meditation room, dial in and there's Swamiji and my yoga buddies at Kashi and on the other end of the phone :)  This is a wonderful way to connect when I don't make the almost 2 hour pilgrimage. Actually, I have been intending to make it to Kashi for this program since last summer! Today was my very first time!!!

A Yoga Day, All Day, Every Day, it's all Yoga.

My day started with short meditation. My mind gives me such trouble during this time! Swamiji said this is why it's important for me to maintain this morning practice. I do get a sweet afternoon practice where I usually dip in so deeply. The 3 - 5 pm time is a sweet time (just in case the 3 am isn't happening right now!)...

Svaroopa® Yoga Student

Many of you know me as your teacher, some as your student, and some as both! Well, today I had the pleasure to experience being a student fully by taking class. Embodied

Such a sweet Sunday Treat! Lying in Shavasana, surrender already begins.  Then, the adjustments! How heavenly!

After being Embodied on the first side, my therapist inquired with me.."My neck is longer" was my awareness.

Then the second side..I sank. I became unconscious in Consciousness; a sweet dip into the inner depths of stillness and peace. The inner realms of Self-Knowingness; Timelessness; The place where I simply Am.

Daily Practice

Another beautiful day full of grace! I'll do my part with my disciple's grace. Ujjayi pranayama, the Magic Four, Meditation, Japa (mantra repetition), studying the sacred texts and the Guru Gita, listening to Swamiji's talks and other preparations for Sweet Meditation. My sadhana (yogic practices) brings me deeper inside, closer and closer to the established knowing of my own Self. My sadhana is seva; my life is seva.
